How do I place an order?
Order by WhatsApp or Instagram DM. Send the item name, quantity, preferred pickup date, and any allergy information.
How many days in advance should I order?
Orders usually open Sunday to Wednesday for Friday and Saturday pickup. Items are made in small batches, so order early before slots fill up.
Do you offer same-day orders?
Usually no. Joyful Bakehouse works on a pre-order basis so items can be prepared fresh. Any extras will be posted on WhatsApp or Instagram stories.
Where are you based?
Joyful Bakehouse is a home-based bakery in Rathnew, Co. Wicklow.
Do you offer delivery?
Pickup is preferred. Local delivery may be possible depending on distance and availability.
Can someone else collect my order?
Yes. Please share the collector’s name and ask them to mention your order name at pickup.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment is collected at delivery time only.
Are your products made fresh?
Yes. Items are made in small batches and prepared close to the pickup date.
Are you HSE registered?
Yes, Joyful Bakehouse is an HSE-registered home bakery, premises reference 136546.
Do your products contain allergens?
Yes. Items may contain gluten, milk, eggs, nuts, sesame, soya, or other allergens. Please mention allergies before ordering. Products are prepared in a home kitchen where common allergens are handled.
How should I store my order?
Storage depends on the item:
Breads and focaccia are best fresh on pickup day or the next day; store airtight at room temperature.
Brownies keep airtight at room temperature for 2–3 days, or refrigerated for longer freshness.
Milk cakes and cream-based items should be refrigerated and eaten within 2–3 days.
Can I freeze the products?
Some items, such as brownies and breads, can usually be frozen airtight. Cream-based items are best fresh and are not recommended for freezing unless advised.
Do you make custom orders?
Small customisations may be possible depending on the item and availability. Joyful Bakehouse mainly offers limited weekly menus and seasonal drops.
Do you cater for events or parties?
Yes, for small events, family gatherings, tea parties, birthdays, office treats, and community get-togethers of around 30–40 guests.
Options may include dessert boxes, brownie bites, mini treats, breads, focaccia, and selected menu items, depending on availability.
Please message in advance with your event date, guest count, and what you have in mind.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Because items are made to order, cancellations should be made as early as possible. Once ingredients or preparation have started, cancellation or refund may not be possible.
How will I know what is available each week?
Weekly menus, limited drops, and order updates will be shared on WhatsApp and Instagram.
